Most likely, the choice of the precise wick is the most arduous task every candle producer has to make. Only the perfect interaction of wick and candle substance produces a high- value quality product.
Outline of what to consider when choosing a wick:
Application area
- Which application area is your candle created for?
- Indoor or Outdoor?
Manufacturing process
- What type of manufacturing process do you implement?
- Is the candle molded, dipped or drawn?
Size and shape
- Which composition is your candle created in?
- Taper candle, board candle, pillar candle, tea light, container candle?
- Size, length and weight of your candle?
Substance of candle
- What raw materials do you implement in your manufacturing?
- Paraffin, Stearin, bee wax, lipids or a raw material-mixture?
Fragrance and dyes
